Yes, it’s that time of year. You know, when we start to think about our New Year’s resolutions and say that this is the year that I’m actually going to stick to them. But as the old joke goes, “In April, I wanted to see how I was doing on my resolution to lose 10 pounds. Hmmm. Only 15 pounds to go”.
When thinking about resolutions, it’s a good time to evaluate the abundance in our lives. Do you have enough abundance in the areas that are important to you? Do you have too much? Do you not have enough and want to obtain more? How can Reiki help with this?
At the end of 2019, the SWFL Reiki Group held an event and the topic was Reiki for Abundance. A lot of good discussions came out of that which are good for all of us to ponder. Some talking points included: What exactly is abundance? The blockages imposed by self and environment. Using Reiki to help us achieve abundance. These are all important things to address if one is seeking more abundance.
The group started with What is Abundance? The actual definition of abundance is: an extremely plentiful or over-sufficient quantity or supply. For example – an abundance of grain. There are different types of abundance such as material, relationship, knowledge, health, etc. There can be overflowing fullness, for example an abundance of generosity; or of course affluence and wealth which is having an abundance of money or ‘stuff’. However, each person should decide what abundance means to them. As the Rolling Stones have taught us, “You can’t always get what you want. But if you try sometimes, well, you just might find… You get what you need.”
So how does one achieve abundance with Reiki? I believe most of the time it is through a Reiki Manifestation. For those not familiar, manifestations are used to achieve goals, rid unwanted habits, or just bring harmony into areas of our lives. This desired goal is usually written on a grid, and there are different versions of the grid depending on your lineage. We then send Reiki to the grid with the intention of achieving that goal.
As for achieving a goal of abundance, the universal energy has a way of keeping everything in check. In our system, after we state our goal, we write these words on our grid: “…or something better or its equal and for the highest and best good for all involved.” This is our answer for too much abundance. So, if your goal is to win the lottery, you just may – if it’s for the highest and best good of all involved. I believe most of us just want to have enough (food, money, love, etc.) in our lives. Occasional we may need an abundance of something. Use the manifestation. You may be very surprised with the results.
